1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of SpectGen (the “Service”), an AI video generation studio operated at spectgen.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
SpectGen lets you generate short AI videos from text prompts and still images using Seedance models. Features, models, resolutions and durations available in the studio may change over time. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice when practical.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe pose a security or abuse risk.
4. Credits, plans and billing
Generation consumes credits. Credits are granted by paid subscription plans, the one-off credit pack, optional signup grants, referral rewards, and promo rewards we approve. Credits never expire and accumulate on your balance. Credits are only charged for renders that finish; failed or canceled renders are refunded to your balance.
Subscription changes (upgrade, downgrade or cancel) take effect at the end of the current billing period. Credits already granted for that period stay with you. Prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; their terms also apply to the payment step.
Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable except as we allow, and are not refundable except where required by law or where we refund a failed render to your balance.
5. Your content and outputs
You retain rights in the prompts, images and other materials you upload (“Inputs”), and you grant us a limited license to process them solely to operate the Service (including sending them to model providers needed to generate your video).
Subject to these Terms and your payment of applicable fees, you own the videos the Service generates for you (“Outputs”). Paid subscriptions and the credit pack include a commercial license to use Outputs. You are responsible for ensuring your Inputs and your use of Outputs do not infringe others’ rights or break the law.
Outputs are produced by third-party AI models and may be inaccurate, unexpected or similar to content generated for others. We do not guarantee uniqueness or fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate law, or the rights of others (including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity)
- Create or distribute sexual content involving minors, or non-consensual intimate imagery
- Generate content that promotes violent extremism, scams or clear real-world harm
- Attempt to probe, overload, reverse engineer or bypass technical limits of the Service
- Resell access, scrape the Service, or use automated means to create accounts or farm credits
7. Third-party providers
Generation runs on infrastructure and models provided by third parties (including model hosts and payment processors). Their availability and policies can affect the Service. We are not responsible for outages or policy changes outside our control.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SPECTGEN AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time and cancel a subscription from the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or for prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership of Outputs already generated, payment obligations, disclaimers and limitations) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes affecting paid subscriptions or credit packs will be communicated where practical.
