This Privacy Policy explains how SpectGen (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use spectgen.com and related services (the “Service”). Contact: support@spectgen.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account data — name, email address, and authentication details (including Google account identifiers if you sign in with Google).
- Contact email use — we email the address on your account for verification, password reset and essential service notices.
- Billing data — handled by Stripe. We store subscription and payment references needed to grant credits; we do not store full card numbers.
- Generation data — prompts, uploaded frames, model settings, generation status, output URLs and credit ledger entries.
- Referral and promo data — invite codes, referred accounts, and promo video submissions you choose to send for review.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information and basic usage logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate and improve the Service (including running your generations through model providers)
- Process payments, grant and settle credits, and prevent fraud or abuse
- Communicate about your account, billing and service changes
- Review promo submissions and administer referral rewards
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service
4. How we share information
We share information with processors who help us run the Service, including:
- Stripe — payments and billing portal
- Resend — transactional email (verification and password reset)
- Model hosts (e.g. Replicate) — to run Seedance generations on your Inputs
- Cloud storage (e.g. Cloudflare R2) — to store uploads and finished clips
- Hosting / database providers — to serve the app and store account data
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of SpectGen, our users or the public.
5. Cookies and similar tech
We use cookies and similar storage for authentication sessions and for referral attribution (so an invite link still works after you sign in). We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the Service today.
6. Data retention
We keep account, billing and credit-ledger records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax and dispute purposes. Generation assets and outputs may be deleted after a period of inactivity or when you delete them where the product allows. You can request account deletion by contacting us.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure; please use a strong password and keep your account credentials private.
8. International transfers
We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Contact support@spectgen.com to make a request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a local supervisory authority.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
